MADE IN THE USA SINCE 2013
Our story begins with three engineers, a single chainring, and a desire to design and machine bike components that fill gaps left in the market by the big guys. We strive to create innovative technical solutions to common problems, and machine the highest quality performance components right here in the USA.
Our products are all designed with you, the rider, in mind. Our desire is to allow you to build the bike you want to ride, that suits your needs, with what you have, inspired designs for our Tanpan, Goatlink, and other products that enabled riders to use stock components and bend them past their intended limitations to create a drivetrain solution that worked to give better gearing, or allowed compatibility between components that the big companies made obsolete.
Included in that vast list of components are our benchmark ReMote dropper lever, Resolve Dropper Post, new Drop-Stop chainring tooth profiles for Shimano and SRAM specific applications, the Grand Tour-equipped LoneWolf Aero Chainguide, and (in our opinion) the most beautiful flat pedals on the market, Waveform and Ripsaw.
DESIGN <----------> MACHINE
As Wolf Tooth has grown, we’ve stayed true to the core tenants of our business that we began with. Sustainability in the sourcing of our raw materials, recycling of our waste aluminum and steel, Made In USA manufacturing, and Right To Repair. We are proud to offer every small bolt, bushing, lever blade, pedal body, or set screw available for purchase so that our customers can repair – not replace – their components for life.
We are only as innovative and forward thinking as our people. We are proud to employ such an amazing cast of characters who share a passion for cycling and driving forward ideas to change the industry in our own small way.
As we celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we look forward to our next decade of innovation. The cycling industry is a rapidly evolving space, which will continue to provide endless opportunities for us to create products that inspire you to get out there and explore the world by bike.
Our History
2013
It Started With A Chainring
Our story begins with three engineers, a single chainring, and a desire to design and machine bike components that fill gaps left in the market by the big guys. We strive to create innovative technical solutions to common problems, and machine the highest quality performance components right here in the USA.
2014
Coming To You Live From The Basement
The chainring idea was posted to a MTB forum, and it turns out people were stoked on the idea; very stoked. That was it. Momentum picked up and Wolf Tooth Components officially kicked off operations, running as a moonlight operation out of a basement on the outskirts of Minneapolis, MN.
2015
Our First Production Space
Our owners began to grow their small team, and moved into our first production space of 4000 sq ft in 2015. The adoption of 1x setups in the MTB space continued to pick up momentum, and the Giant Cog was our next product to hit the market and allow for greater range in the rear cassette when running a 1x drivetrain.
2016
Otso Cycles Is Born
There are so many bike companies already; why start another one? The short answer is because we wanted bikes that did not exist. Most people would just keep dreaming. But if you're the (slightly) crazy mechanical engineers and innovators from Wolf Tooth, you start a new bike company and spend every free minute making those bikes a reality.
2018
Our New Home
In 2018 we moved into our current home in Burnsville, MN, where we're still located today. We occupy 38,000 sq ft of space dedicated to our offices for engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams. Plus our machine shop, assembly, shipping, and warehouse space that houses both Wolf Tooth and our sibling bike brand, Otso Cycles.
2022
New Categories
Our team continued to push boundaries, releasing the Resolve Dropper Post and Waveform Aluminum Pedals, breaking into new categories for our brand and laying the foundation for future development as a leading component manufacturer. Our staff has grown to 62 full and we now design, manufacture, assemble, and ship over 2000 SKUs of products.
2024
Continued Innovation
As we take stock of where we started, where we are, and where we're headed, we're proud to have moved the industry in our own way, and created some classic components at the same time. Always innovating, we're excited for our next decade (and more!) of pushing boundaries and engineering, machining, and assembling the best bicycle components right here in the USA.
Built To Endure
We take pride in the extreme durability we engineer into each and every one of our components. With an innovative lineup of products like the original Pack Pliers, ReMote dropper lever, Headsets, Resolve Dropper Post, new Drop-Stop chainring tooth profiles for Shimano and SRAM specific applications, the Grand Tour winning LoneWolf Aero Chainguide, and (in our opinion) the most beautiful flat pedals on the market, you can rest assured that they will ride with you through anything you can put them through.
Right To Repair
Right To Repair is our belief in your right to be able to fix your components. Crashes happen, parts get misplaced, things go bump in the night. All individual parts are available as replacement parts for our components to support this initiative. Be that a pedal bushing, a dropper o-ring, a ReMote Pro set screw, or a single chainring bolt.
To The Future!
We are always looking to shake things up, make compatibility issues a thing of the past, and design components, tools, and accessories of the highest quality. Wolf tooth is committed to pushing boundaries and growing our product lineup as the cycling industry evolves.
