It’s the summer of color at Wolf Tooth, and we’re thrilled to release our newest ReMote and ReMote Light Action color: olive! It’s the first time we’ve used olive as an anodized color option and in particular this hue reminds us of smooth singletrack, crisp air in our lungs, and Minnesota’s North Shore.

Over the last few months, we’ve been rolling out a series of Limited Edition colors for ReMote and ReMote Light Action. Olive joins a robust family which also includes teal, pink, purple, green, and several others. Both ReMote and ReMote Light Action work with all cable-actuated dropper posts and are machined right here at Wolf Tooth in Burnsville, Minnesota.

Wolf Tooth set the bar for effective and efficient dropper levers when ReMote was first released in 2016. Before the ReMote, all dropper levers had been using a bushing at their pivot point. The introduction of the large sealed cartridge bearing in our ReMote design led to an industry standard in smooth dropper lever operation and unparalleled modulation. Since the ReMote was first released, many other dropper levers have moved from bushings to larger bearings.

The ReMote Light Action was announced in 2017. ReMote Light Action features the same design as our standard ReMote but instead has a longer lever—57.1mm vs. the ReMote’s 46.3mm lever. Perfect for those who prefer a light actuation feel and don't want a lever that requires a stronger push, the ReMote Light Action requires 25% less push force to actuate a dropper post than its ReMote counterpart. Both ReMote and ReMote Light Action have their advantages based on your personal riding preference, and together feature a machined thumb pad for extra grip with or without gloves, accessible cable fixing for quick setup and adjustment, and a breakaway axle pivot that serves as a breaking point in case of a crash or mishap.

We’re committed to the Right to Repair and, like most Wolf Tooth components, tools, and accessories, all the individual parts that make up ReMote and ReMote Light Action are also available as replacement parts. This includes everything from fixing bolts, bearings, and washers to the levers themselves. So that means if you crash and break a part, you’d just pay $4.95 for a breakaway axle pivot, for example, instead of $69.95 for a whole new dropper lever. In addition, we curate installation and repair guides, videos, diagrams, and instructions which are readily available on the ReMote and ReMote Light Action webpages.

The ReMote and ReMote Light Action can also integrate with brake clamps for a cleaner cockpit with fewer parts and less weight. While the anodized color ReMote and ReMote Light Action include a 22.2mm clamp that is compatible with standard mountain bike handlebars, additional brake clamps are available as replacement parts. ReMote and ReMote Light Action will successfully integrate with Shimano brakes that use I-Spec A, I-Spec B, I-Spec II, and I-Spec EV; SRAM MatchMaker and MatchMaker X; Magura; and Hope Tech 3 brakes. There is also a 31.8mm clamp available for attaching ReMote and ReMote Light Action to drop bars at the thicker part of the handlebar (near the stem).

Wolf Tooth ReMote and ReMote Light Action in Limited Edition Olive are available now.
